Sokos Hotel's first Heymo has opened in Keilaniemi, Espoo
Released by Sokos Hotels
Heymo 1 was opened in Keilaniemi, Espoo, on 20 April 2022: an affordable, easy and high-quality hotel whose services have been designed in consultation with the needs of its customers. There is no traditional reception at Heymo, but check-in and check-out are by vending machines. Customers take care of the comfort of their customers. Sokos Hotels' first flexible service hotel will also serve as a pilot and development platform for future Heymo hotels.
The tourism industry is recovering from the pandemic, and already last autumn it looked more positive in the light of the figures. With the lifting of restrictions, the coming summer will also continue the positive trend that began in the autumn. Opened in Keilaniemi, Heymo 1 is ready to receive travelers heading to the Helsinki metropolitan area.
"Heymo is a hotel for travelers who want to pay only for what they need. When designing Heymo, customers have been listened to and returned to the most important things, such as good dreams. Each room has a bed made for Familon’s Heymoon. In Heymo, everything essential has been taken into account, but there is nothing extra," says Development Manager Jukka Kaartinen from SOK's Tourism and Catering Chain Management.
Heymo is suitable for the traveler who appreciates flexibility and ease: You can log in and out independently with a flexible vending machine and avoid queues. Whatever the purpose of the trip, Heymo offers a safe and quality hotel experience, but encourages you to take over the destination.
"Heymo is available 24 hours a day: there are always fixers to help with practical matters. If necessary, the fixers make the visitor's trip personal. They provide tips on places to visit and they can even make a restaurant reservation on behalf of the customer," Kaartinen says.
Among the specialties found in Heymo, there is also an all-day breakfast available throughout the day from the smart lockers.
The hotel has taken advantage of innovative space design in many ways. For example, the hotel stairs have been harnessed for fitness in cooperation with the Liikku fitness center.
The interior design of the first Heymon was the responsibility of the design agency Rune & Berg. In addition, Heymoon has created its own, unique world of sound in collaboration with Bauer Media.
